Valley of the Temples

The Valley of the Temples is an archaeological park in Sicily, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is characterized by the exceptional state of conservation and by a series of important Doric temples of the Hellenic period. It corresponds to the ancient Akragas, monumental original nucleus of the city of Agrigento. Since 2000 it has been a regional archaeological park.

Carlo V Tower

Made in 1763 by King Charles III of Bourbon. The tower is not included in the network of correspondences with other towers as it served only to defend the port. It is located at the entrance to the port of Porto Empedocle.

Salsa Tower

The Torre Salsa Nature Reserve is a true paradise on earth managed by the WWF. A place isolated from the world between calm and shallow waters, Mediterranean scrub bushes and golden beaches also suitable for children.

Kolymbethra

The Garden of Kolymbethra is a rare archaeological and agricultural jewel, an extraordinary place that contains the colours, flavors and scents of the land of Sicily and tells, with its finds and its hypogea, excavated 2500 years ago, the story of ancient Akragas . In Agrigento, the Kolymbethra is a shady corner of paradise where centuries-old olive trees thrive and where citrus fruits flood the Valley of the Temples with their scents.

In the historic center of Agrigento you can find Via Atena, one of the perfect spots to go for a walk accompanied by the smell of typical Sicilian foods from our local restaurateurs.
